15. Watercolor

Sorry to be contrary, but that's my favorite. Pastels with the detail turned up and the texture turned down are second.

A couple of things I find handy; 'remove color cast' and 'adjust color for skin tone' are very helpful on pictures with saturated colors, which tend to trip up automatic adjustment routines. Layers are your best friend. Selections can be added to by holding down shift and subtracted from by holding down control while lassoing or magic wanding. And 'save for web' crunches pictures down to manageable size with only moderate losses.

Have fun!

(My avatar is a photo with layers of color airbrushed on in Elements. I used the 'outline' command in selections to create a line separating the figure from the background and ran 'watercolor' on the final result.)

I think I screwed up and lost a picture! Check out pictures 11 through 14. Somewhere one shot did not get uploaded to Flickr. Can you help me and figure out which effect got lost? Sponge doesn't look like sponge to me...

Everything looks correctly labeled through #10. I generally don't use the effects after that very much, so I'm not sure.

I gave you two bits of misinformation; it's 'alt' to subtract from a selection and outline is not included, so I must have done that in the full version of Photoshop I have on an old Mac.

Photobucket

I took the liberty of doing a quick 'Obama Icon' with your photo. Actually you look a bit Impressionist...

And kinda sad...

Thanks for the 'shop!

Thank-you for posting.

(Disregard previous message, Mudcub)

Well done, great image.

12 should be sponge painting, 13 should be underpainting and 14 is watercolor. So, i think you're missing smudge stick.

i really like the expanse of yellow wall, too, though it makes you look, lonely.

You really should have included the original photo for comparison.

The original photo was blurry and I hated it. So, I decided to effect the hell out of it to get something I liked. That's why the original wasn't included!

i liked the fresco and the plastic wrap. Mmmm, mudcub in plastic wrap..... :-)

Yeah! I *love* plastic wrap mummification. And then duct tape OVER that.

*sigh*

I wish Pappa Bear were still around - bondage was his specialty. I once modeled for his bondage column in The Leather Journal because the original one flaked out on him. What kind of bondage was it?

Plastic wrap.

I can't say I enjoyed it, bondage just isn't my thing; I mainly did it as a favor to him. That said, I would have enjoyed getting to watch him work you over. ;)

Adobe Photoshop Elements

It's not a very good program -- I can't find the "Expose Penis" option!

It's right there on the top menu, Sir. Just click "Undo"

If only reversing circumcisions was that easy...!

(Deleted comment)
Plastic Wrap - but you have to slather yourself in something gooey first ... PROMISE! ;o{)

I've been doing it after each tattoo session lately ... cleanse, vitamin E gunk, then Saran Wrap ... think I'm might have to get my chest and gut inked next! lol

These elements would be more fun!

1. Colored Penis
2. Cutting
3. Dry Hump
4. Fisting
5. Crisco
6. Candle Glow
7. Pain Daubs
8. Knife Play
9. Plastic Wrap
10. Edge Play
11. Rough Pummels
12. Sludge Stick
13. Spooge
14. Underpanting

You *are* horny, Sir! Wish i was there...

I'm quite sure watersports should be on the list as well...

I'm taking a class this fall. Very useful. Thanks!

Before trying all those "effects"…

Work on composition (e.g. cropping).

Chuck

Re: Before trying all those "effects"…

Oh! I worked hard on cropping that photo. I liked the little bit of door and the wide expanse of yellow. Trust me, I did the centering on purpose. Sorry you didn't like it.
