Don't get this confused with the other MST3K-style "make fun of movies while they are playing" called RiffTrax. That one's Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo), and Bill Corbet (the second Crow). i saw them in a "direct live to your movie theater" show last month... and to be honest, their show was a lot more fun (and funnier). But still, seeing Minneapolis-style comedy is better than not.
Last Friday's movie was "Genocide: AKA War Of The Insects". Which is an awful movie, but easier to make fun of than "Runaway" which Thor and I saw together in a different MST3K-style show in Denver last month. Unfortunately, "War Of The Insects" didn't have any giant insects, even though it was 1) a Japanese film and 2) featured leaking nuclear fuel. That was disappointing. But hilarious!
I made a MST3K pumpkin for Halloween. It's a style I invented when I was 14... I just peel off the top layer of the pumpkin, exposing the white part underneath. So, the pumpkin lasts a long time - though you can't put a candle in it. It's a trade-off. Check out a web page I made of some of my pumpkins throughout the years.
