Watch... man
I'm sitting here in a movie theater, watching Batman. And while I love the director Christopher Nolan, and Heath Ledger is absolutely amazing, I couldn't help thinking of 15 other comic books that I'd rather seen made into movies:

1. Leonard & Larry
2. Time Beavers
3. Gregory
4. Sandman
5. Mage
Stig's Inferno
Johnny the Homocidal Maniac
Stray Toasters
Why I Hate Saturn
Love & Rockets
Milk & Cheese
Sam & Max
Pirate Corps
Cerebus the Aardvark
Death: The High Cost of Living
Hothead Paisan
Dykes to Watch Out For
Tales from the Beanworld

uhm your doing an entry in a movie theatre... WOWSERS... BAD PATRICK.. you need to be PUNISHED..

come to my room :) ..

I'm in the back row... nobody else is in the theater, I'm not bothering anyone. Perfectly private... wish you were here.

hhrrmm you should come up here today we where off ;) .... OOHHH and i have news start aug 1st .. i will be working 6 am to 2:30 pm.. for two weeks...you should come up those days and spend time with todd and i :) ... who knows we might just claim you ...

I like Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, but I much prefer Squee. His pathetic life and neglectful intellectual parents are far more compelling. And also, there's Pepito, the Son of Satan.

What about Doc & Raider? I'd love to see them done live action too.

Good idea on Doc & Raider! And as long as I'm dreaming of hot bear comics... do you remember Drum?

Drum was [is] really hot. Hard to have it in any form outside of porn though.

At least with Doc & Raider, it wouldn't necessarily be porn, although that would be nice.

How about Kyle's Bed & Breakfast?
BeerCan & Saurus?

I'd love to see movie versions of Tom Tomorrow, Tom the Dancing Bug, and Lynda Barry's "Ernie Pook's Comeek" too!

I'm with you on L&L into a movie and I'd go for Dykes as well even though I've yet to catch the strip but if what I've gathered is true, it's a hoot. :-)

Am reading L&L at the moment

I heard Neil Gaiman is doing the Sandman screenplay, though that might be a geek internet legend. JTHM would be great.

Even if that is true, they would never be able to get Dream's voice right.

you'll laugh so much your sides will ache. Your heart will go pitter-pat.

The movie version of Death: The High Cost of Living is currently in the works - I believe they start shooting this fall. And Neil's doing the screenplay, so all appears to be well.

But do you really want to see Hollywood mangle Sandman? That would hurt way too much for my taste.

I'd be alllll over "Gregory" and "Cerebus" but I wouldn't trust The Powers That Be to properly do anything like DTWOF, Love & Rockets, or any Gaiman that he didn't handle himself. Still, we can wish!

I must agree with this comment.

I don't think I ever had very good comic book taste though. The couple years I spent in comic book shops were mostly about Lady Death and Shi.. Sin City (already made into a movie)... and I had a thing for Egypt.
